In pregnancy, a woman should increase her daily caloric intake by only 100-300 calories (a quart of skimmed milk), that’s correct——only 300 more calories per day!  Yet, women during their pregnancies have gained 50, 60 and sometimes 100 pounds.  You chart your fitness course. Looking good and being pregnant are not mutually exclusive.  Pregnancy is a time to acquire healthy lifestyles, which include walking, swimming, cycling and/or free weights.  Don't be afraid, get healthy.  Your baby and you will be the better for it.

Those calories aren't burning themselves. Make the commitment to be healthy. Obese pregnant women need not gain any weight during their pregnancy and still have a healthy outcome.
